Steve Jobs one of the co-founders of Apple which is now the largest technology company has resigned as its CEO but will remain chairman of Apple.Tim Cook who is one the hand picked member by Steve jobs will suceed him.Steve Jobs was on medical leave since 17 January 2011.
The 56 year old has been credited with bringing in the revolutionary products like Ipods,IPhone and Ipads.It was his vision and marketing skills that changed the fortunes of Apple.
The big question as of now is Will Apple be able to create such innovative and charismatic products as they have developed under the leadership of Jobs.In mid 2004 he was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in his pancreas which is the reason behind his resignation.
Jobs said he was stepping down as chief executive because he could no longer meet the “duties and expectations” of running the world’s second most-valuable company after oil giant ExxonMobil.
Real test for Apple will begin after 2-3 years as by then all the products of which Steve Jobs has been a part will be over. Whether the California-based Apple can indeed remain on the cutting-edge of innovation in consumer electronics without Jobs at the helm is a question
He is irreplaceable and his charisma will surely be missed.
